SHIKSHARATH 4.0: Uplift The Lives Of Deprived Children & Communities
Samaarambh Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities, SHIKSHARATH 4.0, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in partnership with NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation Limited). This program aims to provide much-needed support to settle and develop the border villages.
SHIKSHARATH 4.0 have potential to directly Impact and uplift the lives of deprived children and communities by pacing-up the overall development of our country’s border villages. Adapting and developing border villages under this initiative will not only ease the lives of the citizens residing there but also help and assist our Army to secure our country’s borders near LAC. Each activity/reform planned for this initiative will create multidimensional impact and bring great relief in various aspect in time to come, below are the key reforms expected to be derived.
Key Objectives
- Having developed villages and vigilant citizens along the border provides a psychological advantage to the nation and benefits the security forces. Also, it reduces the cost incurred on surveillance as local people are the accurate surveillance tool manning every inch of the border.
- The e-learning centers set up through ShikshaRath will nurture the talent and knowledge of 600 students. Various programs and learning sessions would be conducted for shaping the bright career path and future opportunities for them.
- Beautification of 30 Households to be promoted as home stay for tourists for generating regular income of local households.
- Sharing the financial worries of 900 parents who are unable to purchase basic educational accessories for their children by gifting Educational aid (track-suit, school bags, shoes and stationary) to every student enrolled in schools of these villages.
- Installation of sanitary pad vending machine with disposable unit will directly benefit in health and lifestyle of (Approx.1200) females. Continues supply of pads throughout the year will improve their physical and mental status.
- Direct employment to 5 enthusiastic youths, they will manage and take care of respective centers. These youths would assist the locals to avail various govt. schemes and will also help in doing documentation for self-employment projects.
- Self-employment opportunities for local youths to be generated through conducting skill enhancing programs and training workshops.
- Providing better facilities will stop the migration of peoples from border area, as the Migration of the local population from the border areas creates another challenge in acclimatizing outsider to these places.
- The local people are more accustomed to the environment and terrain and therefore are more viable resources than those from outside. Furthermore, outside people hardly prefer working in such harsh conditions, creating a workforce shortage in these areas.
